Project Description
We will develop and rigorously evaluate hybrid online + department-meeting workshops for faculty and staff in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM) academic departments to address the climate for gender equity and inclusion. Our workshops will help participants identify the various forms of bias that contribute to a chilly climate for women in academic disciplines, particularly in STEMM. These workshops will also allow faculty and staff to collectively discuss how those biases may be manifested in their departments and what strategies can be taken to create an inclusive, bias-free environment.
