To accomplish its mission, IUPUI needs dedicated and talented faculty and staff who directly or indirectly support teaching, research, and service activities in our urban context. This requires that the campus provide opportunities for engagement throughout the employment lifecycle. It begins with a leadership philosophy that values the unique contributions each individual makes to our success and extends to specific strategies and approaches that can foster ongoing commitment by employees to IUPUI as well as by IUPUI to its employees.
This task force will focus on ways that IUPUI can create a more welcoming campus for faculty and staff. From recruitment and onboarding to mentoring and networking, IUPUI has a number of avenues for seeking and supporting the best possible talent for our campus. Ultimately a welcoming campus for faculty and staff attends to issues of satisfaction and engagement with work, all occurring in a culture of support, inclusion, and respect.
