Project Description
Data collected over the past five years show that, on average, transfer students constitute 20 percent or more of the IUPUI campus community. Considering the size of this important student population, this project is designed to increase support for incoming transfer students, including increasing transfer student enrollment. This project will expand relationship-affirming outreach strategies, provide incoming transfer students with the tools necessary for transition success, and will facilitate transfer students’ understanding of the support available to them at IUPUI. Additionally, the project reflects the value of growing in diversity, equity and inclusion, and will inform future initiatives related to the recruiting and retention of transfer students.
