Project Description
Across the country, universities are creating innovative academic programs to meet the demands of current and future esports-related careers. IUPUI already has the building blocks for such a program, but we need to create and implement an esports strategy to create a world-class program that will appeal to the gaming segment of the student population. Creating a supportive environment for student gamers can have a positive effect on student mental health and can also be a boost for recruitment. Through this project, leaders in the Division of Student Affairs and from across campus will engage a consultant to guide the development of a comprehensive esports strategy that will attract students and allow IUPUI students to play and compete with peer institutions.
