Project Description
The purpose of this project is to create a Community of Practice (CoP) for middle management staff at IUPUI to provide an opportunity for staff to discuss common concerns, reflect, and to learn from each other as pathways to serving more effectively in their roles. While such CoPs are common among faculty, they are less common among staff and offer an innovative way for IUPUI staff to build and sustain a strong work culture, enhance hiring practices, set priorities with limited funding and staff, and create a vision for the campus’s future. Highlights of the program will be presentations from relevant speakers and facilitators, the opportunity for middle management employees to share experiences and to create meaningful collaborations across campus, and the chance to learn from and support one another.
