IUPUI has embarked on a search for a new dean of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. The dean of SHRS is the chief academic and administrative leader of the School. Reporting to Executive Vice Chancellor Kathy Johnson, with key relationships throughout IUPUI, the dean is responsible for building the capacity and capabilities of the School; moving associated programs forward in reputation, distinction, and influence; and seeking collaborative opportunities and creating strong cooperative bonds within SHRS, with other programs at IUPUI, and within the IU system.
As one of seven Indiana University campuses, IUPUI is known as Indiana's premier urban research and health sciences campus and is dedicated to advancing the intellectual growth of the state of Indiana and its residents through research and creative activity, teaching, learning, and civic engagement. Nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report, Forbes and other notable publications, IUPUI has more than 30,000 students enrolled in 17 schools, which offer more than 250 degrees. IUPUI awards degrees from both Indiana University and Purdue University. For fiscal year 2015-16, the campus total operating budget was $1.3 billion.
