Associate Vice President of Research Development
Indiana University Research is seeking an executive to help support IU’s world-class research efforts. Reporting to the IU Vice President for Research, the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Research Development is responsible for developing and managing relationships, services, and programs that catalyze the research goals of Indiana University and its faculty. This AVP position is a new, consolidated, position that has responsibility and scope covering all IU campuses.
Research Development at Indiana University includes research philanthropy and external partnerships, proposal support, strategic nominations and limited submissions, faculty research and leadership development, DEI in research activities, internal seed funding programs, and innovation and commercialization initiatives to create a single front door for faculty and administrative PIs to access research relationships, services, and programs that currently reside in departments, schools, campuses, and at the university. The AVP for Research Development is a member of the Vice President for Research’s senior leadership cabinet and complements and synergizes with other AVPs including those for Research Administration, Innovation and Commercialization, Business Partnerships, and Campus Research.
