Harry Gonso concentrates his practice on general corporate and transaction law and leads Ice Miller’s life sciences practice. He served as Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels’s first senior counsel and chief of staff from 2005 to 2006. He has served as chairman of the Indiana State Bar Association Section on Corporation, Banking, and Securities Law as well as a number of panels and commissions. He is also a partner in Twilight Venture Partners, an Indianapolis-based life science venture capital firm.
Gonso served 18 years on the Indiana University Board of Trustees, chairing two presidential searches and a basketball coach search during his tenure. He also has been a member of the boards of directors of the Community Hospital Foundation, Community Hospitals, the Indiana University Foundation, the American College of Sports Medicine Foundation, the Skyline Club, Indianapolis Tennis Championships, and Municipal Recreation, Inc., as well as a member of the Penrod Society. He has served as a director of the Methodist Sports Medicine Foundation and on the Advisory Board for Regenerative Biology and Medicine at the IU School of Medicine.
Currently Gonso is vice chairman of the IU Foundation and a board member of the Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation. He is on the Board of Advisors for the Purdue University School of Science at IUPUI.
Gonso received his B.S. from Indiana University and his J.D. with honors from the Indiana University School of Law.
