Biography

Dr. Eskew served as the Ob/Gyn Residency Director and Medical Director of Women & Children Service at St. Vincent Hospital.  He is an Emeritus Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the IU School of Medicine. Dr. Eskew served on several committees with the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists in addition to his election as Vice President.  Dr. Eskew enjoyed a distinguished career in medicine, has been active in a number of professional organizations, and assumed leadership roles in several. At the same time, he was an active member of the Carmel community, serving twelve years on the school board. He has played an integral role in the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame since 1993, and served as its president from 2007 to 2009.

Dr. Eskew received a Sagamore of the Wabash in 1996, the St. Vincent Hospital "Distinguished Physician Award" in 2000, the March of Dimes "Mark of Distinction Award" in 2001 and was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005.

Dr. Eskew earned a B.A. from DePauw University and his M.D. from the IU School of Medicine.  He has been heavily involved in both alumni associations and currently serves as the Chair of the IUPUI Board of Advisors.
